Job description

Civil Works Contracting is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Pipe Layers and Entry-Level Laborers. As a vital part of our construction crew, you will be involved in various aspects of underground utility installation, infrastructure development, and general labor tasks.

Responsibilities:

Pipe Layer:

· Install and maintain underground utility pipes, including water, sewer, and stormwater systems.

· Interpret and follow blueprints and construction specifications.

· Collaborate with the construction team to ensure the proper alignment and grading during pipe installation.

· Perform necessary tasks such as excavating, backfilling, and compacting soil.

Entry-Level Laborer:

· Assist in various construction activities, including but not limited to digging, lifting, and carrying materials.

· Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.

· Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.

· Support the construction team in completing tasks efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required for Entry-Level Laborer positions.

· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

· Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks.

· Willingness to learn and follow instructions.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Must be able to pass a drug test

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Morehead City, NC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Pipe Laying: 1 year (Preferred)
