Webb Creek Trestle Crossing on the Camp Lejeune Railroad

The work includes replacement of existing Railroad Trestle at Webb Creek and incidental related work. The existing bridge was a 9‐span 113’‐7” L x 11’‐4” W trestle bridge carrying one railroad track over Webb Creek. It was replaced to a 4 simple span open deck ballast bridge consisting of precast concrete box beams on cast‐in‐place piled bents. The new interior bents are set outside the wetland. The new end bents were placed behind existing end bents. The new bridge is 119ft long by 16ft wide with a 3ft wide walkway. The project was completed in October 2019.
