Civil Works Contracting is proud to play a key role in one of the most significant rail manufacturing developments in the country—partnering with Siemens Mobility to expand its U.S. manufacturing footprint through a new $220 million rail facility in Lexington, North Carolina. This state-of-the-art plant is poised to become a cornerstone in American rail transportation, and CWC is honored to contribute our expertise to help bring it to life.
As part of this high-profile project, CWC is responsible for installing all rail infrastructure within the factory itself, as well as constructing the extensive rail yard and surrounding track systems. Our team is ensuring seamless connectivity between Siemens' production operations and the greater transportation network, enabling efficient movement of rail vehicles from manufacturing to market.
In addition to our rail work, CWC is performing the civil grading for the roadbeds on which the new rail yard is being built. This critical component of the project ensures a stable, well-compacted foundation capable of supporting heavy rail operations for decades to come. Our team is managing complex site conditions and delivering precision grading to meet the stringent specifications required for modern rail infrastructure.
This partnership with Siemens underscores CWC’s commitment to supporting the resurgence of American manufacturing through high-quality civil and rail construction. We are proud to help build the infrastructure that will drive innovation, create jobs, and strengthen the U.S. rail industry for generations to come.
